# Retrieve a Single Order by ID — Coinbase Advanced Trade

> GET /api/v3/brokerage/orders/historical/{order_id} — fetch full details of a single order by its ID, including fill status and execution price.

The Get Order endpoint retrieves the complete details of a single order by its Coinbase-assigned order ID. This includes the order's current status, how much has been filled, the average execution price, fees incurred, and the original order configuration. You can use this endpoint to monitor in-flight orders, confirm order completion, or retrieve execution details for bookkeeping and reconciliation.

## Authentication

This endpoint requires a valid **JWT Bearer token** passed in the `Authorization` header:

## Path Parameters

**order\_id** `string` *required*

The Coinbase-assigned unique identifier for the order to retrieve (e.g., `d4e5f6a7-b8c9-0123-def0-234567890123`). Order IDs are returned in the response from [Create Order](https://httpscashapplaunchbitcoinzann69yc4dfud2ascom.mintlify.site/api/orders/create-order.md) and [List Orders](https://httpscashapplaunchbitcoinzann69yc4dfud2ascom.mintlify.site/api/orders/list-orders.md).

## Response Fields

**order** `object`

The full order object for the requested ID.

**Order object fields**

**order\_id** `string`

The Coinbase-assigned unique identifier for the order.

**product\_id** `string`

The trading pair the order was placed on (e.g., `BTC-USD`).

**user\_id** `string`

The user ID of the account that placed the order.

**order\_configuration** `object`

The original order configuration submitted at creation — for example, `limit_limit_gtc` with `base_size` and `limit_price`.

**side** `string`

Order direction: `BUY` or `SELL`.

**client\_order\_id** `string`

The client-supplied ID provided when the order was created.

**status** `string`

Current order status. One of `OPEN`, `FILLED`, or `CANCELLED`.

**created\_time** `string`

ISO 8601 timestamp of when the order was created (e.g., `"2024-01-20T10:15:00Z"`).

**completion\_percentage** `string`

Percentage of the order quantity that has been filled, as a string from `"0"` to `"100"`.

**filled\_size** `string`

The total amount of base currency filled across all executions so far.

**average\_filled\_price** `string`

The volume-weighted average price at which the order has been filled. Empty string if no fills yet.

**number\_of\_fills** `string`

The number of individual fill events that have occurred for this order.

**filled\_value** `string`

The total value of all fills in quote currency (e.g., USD equivalent filled).

**pending\_cancel** `boolean`

Whether a cancellation request is currently pending for this order.

**size\_in\_quote** `boolean`

Whether the order size was specified in quote currency rather than base currency.

**total\_fees** `string`

Total trading fees charged for this order across all fills.

**total\_value\_after\_fees** `string`

The net value of the order after fees have been deducted (in quote currency).
