# GET /api/v3/brokerage/portfolios — List Portfolios

> GET /api/v3/brokerage/portfolios — retrieve all portfolios for the authenticated user, including portfolio UUIDs needed for breakdown requests.

The **List Portfolios** endpoint returns all portfolios associated with your Coinbase Advanced Trade account. Each portfolio record includes its UUID, display name, type, and deletion status. The `uuid` field is the key piece of data you'll need when calling other portfolio endpoints — such as fetching a detailed breakdown of holdings. You can optionally filter the results to a specific portfolio type if your account has multiple portfolio types configured. This endpoint requires authentication.

## Endpoint

```
GET https://api.coinbase.com/api/v3/brokerage/portfolios
```

## Authentication

**Required.** Include a valid JWT in the `Authorization` header:

```
Authorization: Bearer $JWT
```

## Query Parameters

**portfolio\_type** `string`

Filter the response to a specific portfolio type. Accepted values:

* `DEFAULT` — the standard default trading portfolio
* `CONSUMER` — a consumer-facing portfolio
* `INTX` — an international exchange portfolio

When omitted, all portfolio types are returned.

## Response

**portfolios** `array`

Array of portfolio objects belonging to the authenticated user.

**Portfolio object fields**

**uuid** `string`

Unique identifier for the portfolio. Use this value as the `portfolio_uuid` path parameter in the [Portfolio Breakdown](https://httpscashapplaunchbitcoinzann69yc4dfud2ascom.mintlify.site/api/portfolios/get-portfolio-breakdown.md) endpoint.

**name** `string`

Display name of the portfolio as set by the user, e.g. `"My Trading Portfolio"`.

**type** `string`

Portfolio type: `DEFAULT`, `CONSUMER`, or `INTX`.

**deleted** `boolean`

`true` if the portfolio has been deleted. Deleted portfolios may still appear in historical records.

## Examples

```bash cURL theme={null}
curl https://api.coinbase.com/api/v3/brokerage/portfolios \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $JWT"
```

```python Python theme={null}
import requests
url = "https://api.coinbase.com/api/v3/brokerage/portfolios"
headers = {"Authorization": "Bearer $JWT"}
response = requests.get(url, headers=headers)
response.raise_for_status()
portfolios = response.json()["portfolios"]
for portfolio in portfolios:
    print(f"{portfolio['name']}  uuid={portfolio['uuid']}  type={portfolio['type']}")
```
