Get Trading Pair Details — Coinbase Advanced Trade

GET /api/v3/brokerage/products/ — fetch current price, volume, and trading parameters for a specific product like BTC-USD.

The Get Product endpoint returns detailed information about a single trading pair identified by its product_id. The response includes the current best ask price, 24-hour volume and price change statistics, order size constraints, and flags that describe the current trading status of the product. Use this endpoint when you need up-to-date market data or trading parameters for a specific instrument before placing an order. This is a public endpoint — no authentication is required.

Authentication

Not required. This is a public endpoint and can be called without an Authorization header.

Path Parameters

product_id · string · required

The unique identifier for the trading pair you want to retrieve. For example: BTC-USD, ETH-USD, or SOL-USDC. Product IDs are case-sensitive and follow the BASE-QUOTE format.

Unique identifier for the trading pair, e.g. "BTC-USD".

price · string

Current best ask price for the product.

price_percentage_change_24h · string

Percentage change in price over the last 24 hours, e.g. "2.35".

volume_24h · string

Total trading volume in the base currency over the last 24 hours.

volume_percentage_change_24h · string

Percentage change in volume compared to the prior 24-hour period.

base_increment · string

Minimum quantity increment for the base currency.

quote_increment · string

Minimum price increment (tick size) for orders on this product.

quote_min_size · string

Minimum order value denominated in the quote currency.

quote_max_size · string

Maximum order value denominated in the quote currency.

base_min_size · string

Minimum order quantity denominated in the base currency.

base_max_size · string

Maximum order quantity denominated in the base currency.

base_name · string

Human-readable name of the base currency, e.g. "Bitcoin".

quote_name · string

Human-readable name of the quote currency, e.g. "US Dollar".

watched · boolean

Whether the authenticated user has added this product to their watchlist.

is_disabled · boolean

true if the product is currently disabled for trading.

new · boolean

true if the product was recently listed on Coinbase.

status · string

Current trading status string, e.g. "online".

cancel_only · boolean

true if the product is in a state where only order cancellations are accepted.

limit_only · boolean

true if only limit orders are accepted for this product.

post_only · boolean

true if only post-only limit orders are accepted.

trading_disabled · boolean

true if trading is fully suspended for this product.

auction_mode · boolean

true if the product is currently in an opening auction phase.

product_type · string

Product category: SPOT or FUTURE.

quote_currency_id · string

ISO currency code for the quote currency, e.g. "USD".

base_currency_id · string

ISO currency code for the base currency, e.g. "BTC".
